Music superstar Lady Gaga has quashed speculations that she is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Michael Polansky, through a TikTok video.
The rumors began swirling after the 38-year-old “Poker Face” singer was seen at her sister Natali Germanotta’s wedding over the weekend. An image of her in a snug little black dress at the Maine event ignited the rumors, which the multi-Grammy Award winner promptly addressed online.
She posted a TikTok video with the caption: “Not pregnant – just down bad cryin at the gym.” It appears she was referencing the song “Down Bad” from Taylor Swift’s latest album “The Tortured Poets Department.”
In the video, she is seen casually dressed in a black T-shirt, midway through her hair and makeup session. She lip-syncs to a popular TikTok audio: “I don’t have to find an aesthetic, I am an aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me.”
Gaga was first seen with entrepreneur Polansky, aged 46, at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas in 2019. The couple later confirmed their relationship on Instagram a few months later.
Gaga has previously expressed her eagerness to become a mother. In her May 2020 cover story with InStyle, she said, “I will say I am very excited to have kids,” and added, “I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”
